End Grain Cutting Boards
End grain cutting boards are considered the best boards by most. Although they are a bigger investment up front, they more than make up for the extra cost with their longevity and durability.
Since the wood fibers are running vertically, they are kinder to your expensive knives as the knife edge runs between the fibers, instead of across them. This keeps a sharp edge longer! These wood fibers will also expand and help hide any marks left behind by the knife.

I take great care in selecting the best lumber and arranging grain patterns to achieve these unique designs.

Innovation
The hardest part of cleaning a cutting board is getting that juice groove clean. I coat the sides and bottom of the juice groove with epoxy to make cleaning a snap! (It also looks great)
Additionally, I install stainless steel, low profile, non-slip feet. This keeps an air gap between the board and the countertop to ensure the board doesn't sit in water. If you do NOT want feet, let me know when you order.
Also includes finger grips at no extra charge.

These boards are 24" x 17 1/2" x 2" thick
$495 including shipping

Sapele is an African hardwood similar to African Mohagany with a beautiful reddish - brown color. It is also very durable, slightly harder than Hard Maple.

Cherry has the same beautiful reddish - brown tone as Sapele, just a little lighter. Not quite as hard as Sapele or Maple, it is still plenty durable.

Historically, Hard Maple has been the go-to for butcher block style end grain cutting boards. Lighter in color than most other hardwoods, it is both durable and beautiful.
I take great care in picking out lumber to use. These pictures are a representation of what each wood species looks like, but grain and coloring will vary from board to board.
